Holiday Favorite

I know I should be outside by now spilting wood with the log spilter, but that thing scare the heck out of me. My husband was teaching me how to use it because we used to use an ax and wedge. His last words to me is "keep your head back or if a piece of wood could take your head off." Oh yea that makes me want to use it. LOL. So yes I'm procrastinating on going out there and instead I though I show you two of my favorite thing I've been collection. My husband had gotten him the year we moved into this house. He stands over 6ft tall (if you have seen a photo of my son. He nicely stood by the nutcracker for me.}Sorry about the wall behind him I'm still painting the living room. These are just a few of them.

Oh I can't forget this one {Grinch its my purse his eyes glow in the dark} and yes I know it's a big different from the 2 nutcracker photos, but I never said I was normal. Love the Grinch so nutcracker ballet inside and whoville outside.

First fantasy bird I've made

Hi, I thought I'd show you the first fantasy bird I've ever made back in April . I had made this one a long time ago, it's in a private collection now. I had called it Gothic Spring Fire and Ice bird. I had peeled the feathers off to get the curl affect. Now I'm working with fake water and feathers to make my next bird.

Ok I guess I need to give documentation on this bird.Please check out my 2nd etsy shop called blackraven1089 in the sold area back in april to see the birds listing. I had enjoy making him, but my hutches where selling good so I had to stop. If you have ready earlier blogs I use the money I make off my miniatures to pay for my son's medical bills. So one thing lead to another and I never was able to create anymore until now. I started to go through my sketch pad and I starting to put together some of the miniatures I wanted to create a long time ago.

I don't know about you, but it's kind of nice looking back at all the old drawing of things I've done and things I still need to do.

How can this not be fun

I was ask to help purchase gifts for all the children coming to the carpenter union Christmas party. I guess the guys don't like to do this.
Come on, you get a certain amount in a check and a number of children and you go to Toy R Us and you go by gifts for all the kids. How can that not be fun!!!

They couldn't believe I would like to do this; that they told my husband that I can do it for now on out.

They just don't know what fun is.

Fantasy Peacock birds

Here are two new minis Fantasy Peacock. I didn't want them to look just like a peacock, but have the style of one. I have many different colors coming. Here are two I just listed.

Hi, everyone does anyone know of a good tutorial on dollhouse cupcakes???? I've been getting ready for a craftshow and really need a cupcake tutorial. Sad to say something that looks so easies has got me stump. My cupcake never look really enough, so my hat is off to those of you that have this miniature down.

Needing Words of Wisdom Please

Hi, got home and almost started to cry, which if you knew me in person would surprise you. I had went to help someone with their etsy shop because they are way behind in orders. Well, while I was there I heard about several people talking behind my back. These are the kind of people I was told everyone look up to.
If you read my very first blogs you would know I wear dark sunglasses because I have light sensitive eyes. Well, long story short my brother in law had gone to the eye doctor and had surgery and he has to wear dark sunglasses for a couple of days. These suppose to be always nice people started making jokes at my expense. Example. What you trying to be a vampire like (insert my name here.) You know her and her husband coffin can't hold three people. By the way how does she not burst into flames every time she comes out of her house?? I finally come her jump on my shop site to check everything and see the nice new goody out there and someone has copied my work and put a cheaper price on it by only a couple of dollars.
But wait icing on the cake, I have to write a 2pgs Christmas article due on the 15th and you know how I feel right now. Like the Grinch.
I know I shouldn't be writting bad blogs like this, but it sad to say I have know one to talk to right now. I don't want to upset my husband because he likes these people too.
Any words of wisdom?????

My Home

Well, it's almost done, several blogs ago I talk about taking out a window. Well, here you go, now please understand my husband and I always take on the projects together. Well, this time we had to ask for a little help this time. The new window weight over 200lbs and I could only move it a couple of feet, so I demolished the old window and my husband built the new one. And yes, the hole was mostly window and the color of the house was the light what I call dust color. Now the next photos will show you what we change the window and color of the house too. Where still adding black trim to the house .

Lego Birthday Party

Evening everyone, well I survived my son's 11yr old Lego Birthday party. Between the legos I made and the legos I purchase off of craiglist we had way over 1000 legos. Now lego theme is kind of fun, but most of the decor I had to make, because store bought item as my son said "it too babish." So what does mom have to do, but make. So here a photo of some of the legos, I have other photo being sent to me. I have to show the cake later.

Baby Mad Hatter Hat

Good evening everyone, I though I'd show you what I've been up to. These two items are not miniatures, but I was still up for the challenge of creating them. I was asked to make a 1yr old mad hatter hat and here a photo for you to see. I wish the photo came out better. Now onto the wedding goblets. I have them half way down. I'll have the before and after photos up soon for all to see.

Sloppy Joe the starting of Halloween

Hi, everyone sorry I've been gone so long. I'm still saving for a computer, it may be one more month before I can afford a new one.

But I had to try and so you the starting of some of my Halloween miniatures. Since I can't get on the computer so much I've had a lot of time. So here one of them now, I've been watching a lot of horror movie lately so I'm sorry if this upset some of you, but a lot of people I've show just LOL, so hopfully you will too.

Tornado

Hi, everyone sorry I've been gone so long, computer trouble still. Well, my family was blessed once more. Two tornado touch down only a mile from my home head directly for it. We even had fire trucks out here with light going waiting for the worst, but then the tornado's ran out of steam and just went back up into the clouds.

Talk about hold your breath, but don't worries about us. My husband had an idea and we have a well in front of our house. And a cistern in the back of our house. So he knock a hole in the way to an all concrete room and secured it with metal I-beams. So we do have a place to go to, if they get any closer.

Porch roof is a little separated from the house, but other then that where OK.

Now if we can only get a roof out here to fix it. Called 5 so far, 3 set appointments and never shown. The other 2 showed and said they send estimates and now 3weeks later and no estimate. I knew we live out in the country, but I didn't know it was going to be this hard to get someone to work on our house. I guess that why my husband and I are doing almost everything ourselves.

So to all those that read this, hug your family members and be thank full for the day.
